"Reflections of the Nile” is an exhibition showcasing the photography of Margo Veillon (1907–2003), a Swiss artist who drew inspiration from the Nile’s landscapes across Egypt. Her works capture scenes from Aswan, Luxor, Minya and Cairo. The exhibition was organized by the Embassy of Switzerland in collaboration with the Rare Books and Special Collections Library (RBSCL) at the American University in Cairo and curated by ARD Art Institution. "Reflections of the Nile” was officially opened on 18 February at the iconic AUC Tahrir Square and is open to the public until 15 March.

The exhibition invites visitors to discover Veillon’s rare photographic works, offering a unique and captivating glimpse of the Nile through her artistic lens. By merging artistic excellence with environmental awareness, it inspires audiences to reflect on the shared human connection to water and the collective responsibility to preserve it for future generations.

On the sideline of the Margo Veillon exhibition, the Embassy hosted a panel discussion on innovative water management. The experts from Egypt and Switzerland Dr. Andreas Zysset, Dr. Madiha Afifi, Dr. Khaled Tarabieh and Dr. Amel Azab explored innovative water management solutions, highlighting successes from the Swiss-funded Potable Water Management Program in Aswan, and discussed possible strategies for a more sustainable future. “Reflections of the Nile” also features the “Blue Tech” exhibition, showcasing innovative Swiss technology in water management.
